[Mamiya 645] Wide-angle lens choice

Hello,

I'm looking for the best choice in choosing a wide-angle lens for my Mamiya 645.
I'm not specially looking for ultra-wide format like 35mm.
45, 50 and possibly 55 would be fine, but first and foremost, i'm looking for the best performances (sharpness, contrast), even in the corners, and for a reasonable price (<300 USD). So after numerous readings, the following lenses seems like beeing good choices :
- Mamiya 45mm f/2.8 S/N
- Mamiya 55mm f/2.8 S/N
- Flektogon 50mm f/4 MC CZJ (pentacon 6 mount)
- MIR-26V 45mm f/3.5

Would you have an advice to help in this choice ?

I wouldn't bother with the third party lenses. The Mamiya lenses are excellent and cheap. I have the 45mm and 55mm and I use them both. The 55 is like a 35mm lens on 35mm film and the 45 is like a 28mm on 35mm film.

I have a M645J and I find my 55 lens is my go to lens more often than not. It'd also not hard to find it online for very cheap!!

Now I got a Mamiya 45N and I am quite happy with it

Thank you all, in fact I've already read the thread you (photophil) refer to, and in this thread someone was talking about the CZJ flektogon, saying it's a very good one. But indeed maybe I should keep things simple with a native 45mm or 55mm.

55 is supposed to be slightly better than 45. But the difference means nothing if the shorter focal length works better for you. I don't really get on with a 55, the 45 works better for me.

I have the 35N, 45N and 55N and they all seem fine (although I prefer to use the 35N at F4 at a minimum as it's sharpness is significantly better than at F3.5). I prefer the 45 to the 55 in terms of sharpness alone. They seem about the same in terms of bokeh. Both the 45 and 55 seem to suffer a bit from CA wide open but this goes away when stopped down a little. TBH, they are quite cheap so get both!

I've never seen a Pentax 645 to M645 adapter and I've really tried to find one. Pentax 67 to M645 is easy but that's not what we are talking about.

I have the 45mm 2.8 c lens, and I must say, its a damn nice lens. When stopped down past f4 at least, it really shines. That said, I'm actually selling it at the moment. PM me for details and pictures if interested!
