Mamiya 645 AFII - what is this number on the negatives?

I just developed my first roll from my Mamiya 645 AFII (Ilford HP5) and I was wondering what the number "4713" is printed in the data area on the edge of the film? Thanks, bill

I think it's Ilford's batch number. See this other thread, where they have 4274:

I shot a few rolls of hp5 this weekend and 3 of the rolls have uneven edge markings that go into the image area. Never seen this before, but scary. It makes me want to shoot tri-x, I always shot tri-x before but switched to hp5 because it is cheaper...

It's in a different font and size from your film-back's imprints anyhow.
