Hey all,

Selling my backup Mamiya 6 body as I need to raise funds for new house, new baby, and Christmas, hah! Sale is for the body only.

I got this as part of a package deal from another Photrio member. Camera was sent to Bill Rogers for his full "ops check" and came back with a clean bill of health. I have recently shot a few rolls with this and have had zero issues.

There is a crack in the body near the lower strap lug. It has long since been epoxied and is perfectly stable. This was also verified by Bill Rogers and shouldn't be a cause for concern.

I am located in Montreal, QC, Canada and will ship anywhere at the buyer's expense. Local pickup also available. Reach out if you have any questions!

Asking for US$1200 or CA$1650. I would kindly request payment in CAD

More pics of the body, as well as example images from the last roll I shot can be seen here: IMGUR

The sharpness of those sample images is phenomenal. What an amazing camera.
I still miss my Plaubel Makina 670, but the Mamiya 6 nearly fills the PM's shoes. The ergonomics are vastly superior, I'll give it that. Those sample photos were taken with the 150mm lens.

That's what this camera is known for. Mine turned into my go-to travel camera. It's a marvel, and the image quality rivals that of theHasselblad.

seriously considering but no clue where i'd get a nice 75mm or 50mm from. and i have too many rolleis

Plus piles of lenses through Ebay...

This is the second version of the body, before the MF version from the photos I can see. Supposedly, it has a better meter baffle in it than the first version (which would have a circle and square instead of the A and AEL on the shutter dial). The last version (6 MF) has a lot of the additional frame lines for the pano adapter so unless you are intending to shoot with 35mm film, I would think carefully about not getting the MF version because IMO, I think the framelines interfere with composition a little.

But, the key to these cameras is to understand how the meter works... It has sensitivity coverage similar to the coverage of the 150mm lens, so it is a decently wide averaging meter and it can be pretty easily influenced by the sun or bright sky overhead and in the near field of view. If you own one of these, it's easy enough to begin to understand the meter by using your hand to observe the meter readings while you shield to top a little... Be careful when shooting with a hat with a brim on it because it may produce difference results than you might not be expecting.

If this has had a recent checkup as in stated in the listing, I think this is a great price for a body. I'd be very tempted to purchase but being I'm in the caliphate of Tariffganistan, it isn't nearly as good of a deal or I would have already made a purchase (for a second body for my Mamiya 6 kit).

based on my research this is actually later in production than the MF version. Thanks for sharing the info.

I think both the 6 and the 6mf could have been produced simultaneously. I have a 6mf the 35mm thing is cool but what would really be cool would be finding slide mounts for the 35 wide.

These are fabulous cameras
