Mamiya 6 light shield curtain wont open

Anyone with a mamiya 6 rangefinder? I was changing lenses, had the curtain closed and now it wont open.

Any ideas?

yea i only had one lens for a long while and just added a 50mm today.

unfortunately soon after solving this, the spool release lever jammed on me and is not working properly
