I've managed to smash my Mamiya 6 to the point where the glass in front of the viewfinder cracked and fell off.

I've noticed that the camera does its light metering through that view; will my metering be all wrong now?

Should I try to get it fixed? The camera still seem to work as it is indented, since the glass that broke seemed just to be some kind of protective glass.

The metering might be off a bit. Still, I'd get it fixed. Without the glass, dust and dirt will accumulate in the rangefinder and mess it up even more. Chances are good that the focus will be off too. Rangefinders are sensitive and can be knocked out of alignment fairly easily.
