Mamiya 6 and 50mm lens

It is a superb lens and requires no external finder.
The lens is said to be on par with the Hasselblad 50.

Lens is good. No external finder necessary.

I have the set, 6MF, 4/50, 3.5/75, 4.5/150, they are all good. Better than the Hasselblad equivalent IMHO, but they are all good enough.

I agree. I own both Hassy kit and Mamiya 6 kit and the Mamiya 6 lens are sharper than Hasselblad. However, some may call them sterile or cold or clinical whatever, that’s all subjective.

I’ve used most MF systems and I’ve never seen lenses sharper than the Mamiya 6 and 7 lenses. Some Rolleiflexs I’ve had do come close as well as some Hassy lenses.

The Mamiya 6 /50mm was one of my very favourite combos.....basically a Leica M w 35 summicron vibe, but with a big negative.

Love the 50, but I have to admit, coming from 35mm I find square framing in 28mm equivalent FoV to be quite challenging! I'm getting better though. The IQ is stellar, no doubt. No external finder necessary.

I have a Mamiya 6 for sale in the classifieds if your curiosity gets the better of you
