..sticky blades on this one so I unscrewed the rear group to get to the rear of the diaphragm. Mopped up the excess oil, but noticed the circular shim that the rear group sits on was rather chewed-up. Is there a source for these things or could I cut one from paper?
Measure the thickness of the shim(s) with a digital caliper. Standard thicknesses are .005 inch, .010 inch but some may be less. Paper deteriorates and different weights are different thicknesses. Gert some brass shim stock the measured thickness to make one from or contact SKGrimes https://www.skgrimes.com/ to have some made.

..thanks, I just screwed it back together complete with chewed-up shim. Seems to focus OK, diaphragm still functioning - for now. Don't want ot try a complete strip down.
