I went out to photograph at dusk, with the 14x17. I got a "flat" negative...well, flat for Alt. processes... but I was able to revitalise it with a little Selenium Toner intensification. I was able to make a Salt print, with a bit of Gold toning... The blacks of the prints were a bit light. A little varnish fixed that.

Thanks Andy. Interesting effect of both selenium and especially the varnish.

Incidentally, shouldn't you have gone back at first light and ran up those steps Rocky style in a tracksuit and bobble hat with a faithful but panting labrador way behind you and held up both hands a la Lenin? 🙂
