Making a 5% gold solution

I have 1 gram packages of gold chloride
I want to turn that into a 5% solution for my ziatypes....how to do?

If the solvent is water, you can consider 1mL is the same as 1g, so this works for both weight/volume and weight/weight.

Also, pay attention to the fact that 20mL is the total volume of the solution, so you will probably add something like 19mL of water to that 1g of gold chloride.

My suggestion for this small amount is: use the most precise graduate you can find and put 10mL of water in it. Add the gold chloride. Top it off with water to the 20mL mark.
