Making a 1 L stock solution from 2.5 L Rollei C41 Developing Kit

I'm just beginning to assemble materials for developing C41 at home and bought a 2.5 Rollei C41 Developing Kit (thought it was good for the price), but made a mistake. Didn't account that my Paterson Multi-Reel developing tank has a capacity of about 1 L and my chemistry storage bottles are also 1 L. I'm wondering if I can make a 1 L working solution of stabilizer, blix, and developer from this 2.5 L working solution kit so that I won't have to return it. Any thoughts?

Not sure I understand the problem.

I do not have working familiarity with C-41 chemicals, but they are all liquid, right? Should be easy enough aliquot into 1 L working solutions. Is it the math you need help with?

As per standard lab procedure, working solutions generally have shorter shelf life than full strength, so don't dilute the whole kit to working strength unless you have enough film ready to develop so you can use it all at the same time. And the remaining full strength chemicals will keep best in full containers, so pour those off into properly labeled smaller containers.

As pointed out above, you can mix a smaller amount, but keep in mind that one concentrate part of the developer (containing the cd4 developing agent) will have a fairly short keeping time as soon as it's opened. If memory serves something like 3-6 weeks. The other parts generally last much longer, even when open.

I'm mostly interested in figuring out the math and calculations to use the appropriate amount from the full strength 2.5 L concentrate to mix just enough to have a 1 L working solution in 1 L bottles, filled to capacity to reduce the oxidation in 1 L bottles.
@runswithsizzers, yes as you pointed out, I'd like to use the remaining full strength that would be placed in smaller containers at another time for yet another 1 L working solution once the first mix serves its purpose. @koraks, even if the c41 developer is kept in smaller containers filled to the brim, will they last only 3-6 weeks?

You might get longer use out of it, but likely not as long as the original unopened package. The problem is that you can't really tell if it still performs to spec unless you thoroughly test it.
