I have always loved Edward Steichen’s work and am looking forward to seeing this exhibition in Paris. On show are some 450 vintage prints and it takes place at the Jeu de Paume from 10th October to 30 December.

For further information on this exhibition visit :

Thanks for putting the spotlight on this one -- 450 prints! An astounding number. I believe I will be in Paris while this is on and I shall make every effort to see it. I love Steichen too.

Thanks for this, I'm in Paris first week in November and will definitely be seeing this one. Saw the Lee Friedlander at Jeu de Paume last year and it was excellent.

I work about two blocks from the Jeu de Paume in the Tuileries where this show is taking place, and I confess I haven't made it over there yet. FYI, however, the reviews of the show in the French press have remarked that the show is heavy on Hollywood-style portraiture, with perhaps other areas not represented to the extent they should be. One reviewer said that what you'll see in the first room is worth the visit, but that much of what came after was repetitive. Well, repetition by a master is probably still worth seeing!

Note that there's going to be a Larry Clark exhibit opening soon here too.
