You'll have to settle for back issues of Popular Photography, Modern Photography, and American Photographer, all of which are accessible through Google Books. Or garage sales.

Ebay can be a good source too. I picked up a box with around 200 Amateur Photographer magazines from the mid to late 80's earlier in the year for something like £2. Enjoyed the equipment reviews & the adverts from the time seeing what gear cost back then.

My favourite in the UK when I got into photography was 'SLR Photography'. Unfortunately not long after I started to read it on a regular basis it changed. I think it became 'Photo Answers' and that was the beginning of the slippery slope. Another mag was 'Darkroom User' magazine from Ed Buziak. This later became 'Camera and Darkroom' and was the only magazine I ever subscribed too. Sadly Ed moved to France and the magazine disappeared though some articles are to some extent still available on line (https://darkroomuser.wordpress.com). I still read through my copies every now and again.
