Your fence is washed out in the foreground there.... needs some burning. Otherwise looks very nice, I'd say
Logan

Look at that Spanish moss. Where are you--Georgia? South Carolina? Those pictures remind me of scenes off horror programs like Night Gallery, etc. I like them.

John, like you images. You have sorted yours out to where you are getting good clean exposures. Did you have any light leak problems? Bill Barber

Now I AM disgusted. I've got all this Hasselblad junk, Nikkormat junk and lenses, Graflex junk. And all I really need is an oatmeal tube.

Thanks Henry!

I'm in South Carolina. This was shot at Magnolia Gardens which is near Charleston.

Thank you Bill! No, I did not have any light leak problems. Hopefully, none will develop!

Look at that--a matched set. I suppose the smaller one is the battery pack for the motor-drive on the big one.:D

Great images! I'm from Charleston and am very familiar with Magnolia Gardens. FWIW, Magnolias aren't oaks though

Thanks!

I should have called the thread Magnolia Gardens' Oak. The 'magnolia' was a reference to the gardens, not the oak........

Oh yea, that makes sense. No worries!

You should try to take that setup down to the Angel Oak. I really like the kind of fuzzy ethereal effect. That would look amazing on that huge oak tree with all of the spanish moss hanging down. Man, I miss the lowcountry!

In case anyone is wondering, the Angel Oak is a gigantic 1500 year old oak tree on Johns Island in South Carolina. It is thought to be one of the oldest living things in the United States.

Nice shots. I like the second one best because of the leading line and slightly higher contrast.

I have been thinking about it........

Normally, my posts will get a few hundred views over time. This post has more that 30 thousand! I'm stumped as to why..........

I wonder why too. Probably a bug on APUG. I only clicked on it because it had so many views !! It is like a runaway snowball that just keeps getting bigger ....

somethings up because I can't see the original posts by Robert Finley but see he's been here because of the quoted text.

weird, i haven't blocked anyone either
