Last week I acquired an old "no name" 5X7 field camera from a friend and it had a "magic lantern" style brass lens mounted on it. Last night I designed and 3D-printed a new lens board for it to fit it on my 8X10 Deardorff and took it out for a spin.

Early morning test today, heavily foggy morning but as I got the Deardorff set up, the fog diminished in the east just enough to reveal the disc of our Sun.

Deardorff fitted with the brass lantern lens, no aperture info available, but I'm estimating its around f8. I put a #25 red filter over the lens to act as "neutral density" so I could use my hand as a shutter (about 3/4 second exposure). The neg is fairly dense (I shot using Ilford FP4+) - as it ought to be when exposing for fog luminance values.
