Maco IR film update

I just got this from Maco in Germany. See the bold part especially:

The brand new *MACO IR 820/400 135-36* is presently under production!
We are planning to provide this new 35 mm film material for sale in middle of June, 2005.

The films are not longer packed in individual card boxes, instead now in bundle
of 30 films each.

ID Article No.: *MACO IE4011 * Product declaration: * MACO _IR 820 / 400

Sales price: like MACO IE 1011, Euro 6,97 excl. tax
more than 30 pcs each special pricing: Euro 5,00 excl. tax

Film development: Identical with MACO IR 820c
Film handling: Loading of film under dim light possible (!)

New differences: Instead of 100 ISO, now higher density of *400 ISO*, without filter. *NO* anti halation layer, with *AURA* effect. Now with "anti curling" coating for better flatness of film/and filing. PET (Polyester) film base, no triacetate film base anymore.

In the routine use (with special filtering) the film material acts as expected for
the special infrared photography. In opposite to the old MACO IR 820, and KODAK HIE, the new film can be used without any problem with CANON EOS cameras and similar (with IR film transportation control).

The technical data from the MACO IR 820 / Aura film material can be used "one to one" up to the difference of the (400 ISO) higher film density.

Yes, MACO will provide this new film material early of 2006 also as roll film 120,
but unfortunately, not earlier possible. At present time that is not possible.

I am looking forward obtaining your mail orders for the original unit of 30 films
from you, with its present special sales price. Must not, but it would be very nice!

That's very interesting. The IR LED film sensor (and it's not just EOS other high end or SLR cameras that have that, I have a Vivitar PZ3125 zoom P&S that uses an LED and sensor to count sprocket holes, instead of a physical gear) would, as I understood it, fog the film. I wonder if their 820 nm cutoff prevents that (I don't know what wavelength the film sensor LED uses)? They also specify loading in dim light, not total darkness like the other materials, which to me suggests it's not the Aura version, but the one with the antihalation.

I'm not sure whu Maco put that in there about the LED sensors for canon cameras as I have only canon cameras and have had no issue with the sensor at all with the 820c film.
I believe the LED sensor operates around the range of 850 or 870nm(I could be off a little).I recieved the same e-mail this morning and noticed that my images are vastly different in contrast to the ones presented in the e-mail also.Even when I use two cameras(both elan 7) shot the same image at vitually the same time the results are very different.I get more "glow" from the 820c and more contrast, ala Konica 750,from the 820/400 film with the same make and number filter.But then I've still got about 25 rolls left to try out the film.
PS-Donald I always load and unload in shade(even my oen shadow) and never have any issues.

I have no problem with my EOS but it is an early one and I believe some later models are affected.

I guess I should have included that my EOS cameras are all later models,Elan 7,etc.
