I have sold about 30 Mac Minis on the FaceBook CoolScan group, and thought I would try here. They have native FireWire and run any of the following OS:
1. Sequoia (macOS 15 via OCLP) VueScan (9.8.48.03) but not NikonScan;
2. Windows11 NikonScan 4.0.3 or VueScan; and
3. Snow Leopard (macOS 10.6.8 with Rosetta) NikonScan 4.0.2
I upgrade the Mini to 1T SSD with 16GB RAM and test with a CoolScan 9000, but users have reported that USB/5000s also work. The 8000 works too but the 4000 has some issues with Rosetta on Snow Leopard. Some newer monitors need to be placed in RGB mode to work with the Mini on HDMI. Screenshare (aka Remote) works on all the systems so they can run "headless".
The Mini comes with a power cord and 400/800 FireWire cable.
$275 plus shipping and any other fees (eg PayPal or Customs). I accept returns within six months of sale if the buyer pays return shipping.
