Lunch (brunch) and print sharing:

Saturday, March 15th @ 11:00

Main Street Bistro and Bakery
316 S. Main Street
Grapevine, Texas 76051

http://www.themainbakery.com

An out-growth of the DFW LF group, we are trying to form the North Texas Film and Darkroom group. (The name is "beta", i.e., subject to change.) We are: "A loose association of photographers who use film and/or a wet darkroom, who gather periodically to make photographs or to view and share their work."

We met in November with 6 people. At that time the consensus was to try print sharing quarterly. The next date was set for February, but proved to have too many conflicts for too many people, so it got postposed to 3/15. In the meantime, we've been out shooting on a couple of occasions.

Print sharing is optional. Just come on out and meet up with the group.

Find us on Facebook, of course: "North Texas Film and Darkroom"

Cheers,

meet in grapevine

Hello,
I live between weatherfod and mineral wells and I am planning to attend the meet. I am NewMexican on apug.
I haven't been behind a camera for seven years but lately been "mining silver" that is finding old negs I haven't printed and re-printing old negs I think I can do better with.
How many prints should I bring?

Charlie:

Welcome. Great! Bring as many as you want. I am going to "show and tell" 3 images, but I'll have a couple more with me. It really all depends on how many want to show, and how much time we have.

I, too, am spending a lot of time printing older stuff rather than making new.

We've had 9 RSVP in various ways, plus 4 "maybe". Surely there'll be 5 or 6 in attendance ...

David,
I didn't run into much rain on the way home. I really enjoyed having people who share my interests to bond with. Please let me know when other outings (or even innings) are planned

Hahahaha... I was just reading this thread and thought to myself, "March 15th, I think I can make that..."
Then I got to the bottom of the thread! Wow. I need a calendar.
