I was given a box of Luminos Flexicon VC Fibre. I have never used this paper, and was wondering about it's characteristics. Anyone with any experience? I'm especially interested in it's toning capabilities. Also, is it lithable? Thanks.
Eddie, as I understand it, Luminos flexicon was made by the old (pre Ilford takeover) Kentmere company and there papers were known to lith quite well. I've not tried it myself, but this 'should' work in lith.
If it is the single grade paper rated at 2.5 grade it was a nice warm/grey vs warm/yellow tone. Paper normally will not last more than a three years before it fogs.
It's the VC, double weight. I'm not sure how old it is, but I've used papers over 3 years old, with no I'll effects. I do have Benz., if I run into slight fogging.
Specifically for papers that lith well but looked fogged in regular developer, can have a new lease on life when used in lith chemistry. YMMV as usual.
