Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and new to making lumens
I am having some troubles on my lumen print making journey. I use new ilford RC paper and Ecopro neutral fixer. I fix my 5x7 prints in a 8x10 developing tray for about 2 minutes while agitating, then I wash the print under running water for about 5 minutes to stop the fix, then they hang to dry. While they are drying I notice water droplets on the paper leave behind spots and only if i wipe off the print completely right after washing and do not hang to dry this is avoided. I have tried to wash the prints again in case all the fixer wasn’t removed the first time and I notice that when the water hits the paper the color changes but goes back to normal once dry (this shouldn’t be happening if the fixer worked, right?). All of this leads me to believe that they aren't fixing correctly but I don’t understand why that would be happening unless my fixer is faulty. I tested to see if my prints would fade in light and they do not, they only change if introduced to water. My fixer ratio is 1:4 like the directions state to do. I am attaching examples of what I am talking about below.
Should I switch to ilford rapid fixer or different paper? Is this a common issue? Am I doing something wrong in the drying process? I need some advice because I really want to perfect my method and be able to display my prints. Please help!
