hi

anyone else use a lumedyne flash?

i have had one for about 20 years and havne't stopped using it.
replaced the batteries a 2 times ( OUCH!), i got a second head 10 years ago
( now i have one with and without the modeling light )
and a few years i got the "HAHM module". my flash has 3 settings
-- 50, 100 and 200 ws it is easy to use an all ( you have to be a good judge of distance and light  )
but ... with the module i can set my flash to whatever fstop i want to shoot at, and there is a sensor
that stops the light and it exposes perfect every time.
i can match ambient light really easy, and use my second head
( it bleeds off the remainder of the 100ws to the 2nd light so i can have some nice asymetrical lighting )
NOW, when i use it manually i can adjust anywhere from 3ws to 200ws ( and trim an fstop ) ... its a great little device

my only gripe is the battery pack ways a TON, but i get a lot of use out of 1 charge, so i shouldn't complain
