Hello All
I am faced with a problem. I have an Instamatic 100 that i want to use, but after cleaning the insides to get rid of the tobacco resin/smell, the shutter sticks. Any way of stopping this? Will lighter fluid or WD-40 help?
Thanks again

what is the material made of...

If you want to take stickiness from a metal part as long as it's not painted use acetone. don't use it on painted stuff or plastic or bakelite.

Naptha/Lighter Fluid on a QTip will remove the stickiness

Hi Again
The material is steel. It is not painted.
Anyway, what is a QTip. Is it a cotton bud?
Thanks

Yay Instamatic!

I have the 104 and it's a blast to use. Yours uses regular flash bulbs where mine takes cubes.

If I have it right you get two shutter speeds. One, about 1/80th, with the flash down and another, ~ 1/40th with the flash up (even without a bulb in).

You can use this feature to your advantage.

i now have unstuck it and ran a roll of truprint 126 film in it!!
It is an amazing camera, to go beside my brownies and leicas

i have also discovered a large stock of flashbulbs, to flash away for 120 pics!!!
