I’ve an LTM collapsible 50mm f3.5 Hexar. Glass is super clean, but a nominal touch of haze. It was somewhat wobbly when I got it, but now it seems very loose. I understand lack of optical barrel alignment is unkind to photographing with it. My attached image of the lens extended shows just how bad.
I can machine Delrin, aluminum, steel, brass, bronze etc. to make a sleeve/collar or an insert to make a tighter fit, arbor pressing it in to the screwmount portion.
Am I missing anything?
I’ll need to pull the lens off to separate it from the barrel and rear screwmount part. I’d add the collar or insert to the (inside of) screwmount part. Also, to disassemble just remove the (opposed 180 degree) screws, one of which is shown in the near middle of the image and everything slides apart, right?
(possibly somewhat rare, one Japan seller says so and selling same for well over $2k - I think that’s hyperbole).
