LPL/Saunders relationship

Who was first and who bought whom when?
I have a Saunders easel, an LPL easel and once had an LPL/Saunders enlarger.

Historically, Saunders distributed LPL in the USA, and appears to have had enough clout to be able to get US product re-badged with their name and choice of model number on it.
I don't think Saunders is in the business any more. Current US product seems to be branded Omega/LPL.
In most of the world, LPL is simply LPL.

If it doesn't revert to English, use one of the language translators.
