LPL 7700 questions

Howdy,

I finally got myself an enlarger that I can hopefully use for quite a while, a LPL 7700 pro. I can't quite use it yet (no globes), but I am rather excited.

I do have a few quick questions:

1. Does anyone know where I can download a manual for it? I did quite a google search and found nothing in english
2. The negative carrier. The machine came with a glassless carrier. I am assuming that this is a universal carrier. This includes inserts for 35mm negs. Now, not having 120 negs in front of me, I am curious if this carrier indeed is intended for 120 format film. The 35mm inserst are a bit raised, for what I am assuming, to ensure that the negs are firmly in place. I cannot see if this works in the same way for 120 negs (I have never shot 120, so I don't have any I can look at!)
3. The globe is blown. It looks to be a 12v 100w globe. Can anyone confirm that this is correct?

If you look on the back there may be a plate with some writing like LAMP: 100W/12V (EFP)

OK, cheers. Yep, the globes are in order. I just now need to get some replacements!

Now, I am more concerned about the neg holder.

For 120, I use the glass inserts, with AN (Anti-Newton-Ring) glass top. There are also glassless neg carriers available for each different format.http://www.khbphotografix.com/LPL/LPL7700series.htm

Hi Hoffy,
The universal carrier usually has blades fitted, so that you can adjust to the negs size you are printing. I have two of these - one without the blades to print my 6x9 negs.

Hoffy, it is your lucky day - Somewhere on one of my systems, I have a complete user manual for the 7700. When I find it, I'll email it across.

If you are having trouble getting the harder grades I don't think the manual is going to help much. When I experienced the same problem, I found changing the lamp cured the worst of it.
