Hi all,

I bought a used LPL 670 XL enlarger and am getting a lot of corner vignetting. I'm using a 6 x 6 medium format negative carrier and a 80mm Nikkor EL lens. Is there any adjustment to remove the vignetting? I know that using the wrong size lens can create vignetting, but the 80mm enlarger lens should be appropriate for medium format negatives.

Unfortunately, I don't have a manual and I haven't found any solutions searching this forum.

Thanks!
Lynn

Hello !
Could you please tell us if it is a diffusion enlarger or a condenser enlarger ?
Problem (and solution) is different depending on the type of enlarger.
Also, was it previously used for medium format work or for 135 mm ?

Hi all,

The support guy at the LPL distributer (http://www.omegabrandess.com) told me what to do:

1. Slide the front cover up and remove the middle condenser.

2. Move the light bulb forward.

The enlarger had been in "35mm mode" and needed to be reset to "medium-format mode." The instructions were printed on the back of the front cover. I just didn't know that the front cover is removed by sliding it up. Thanks for all your responses.

Lynn
