I'm looking for a manual for an LPL 4550XLG (LPL 7452L). Specifically, I'm interested in information regarding using it for floor projection. Thanks.

I have one and if I am not mistaken, you can reverse the head on the column if you take the head off. Make sure you weigh down the baseboard heavily.

If you plan on doing large prints often, you would be better off to wall mount the enlarger.

Thanks, George. It’s exactly what I need. I wasn’t sure how to deal with the counterbalance springs.

I’m not sure how many large prints I’ll do, but I’ve been sitting on 5 rolls of 42 inch by 100 ft rolls of Ilford MGIV for a couple of years, and am hoping to try some 32x40 inch versions of my cliche verre/ cityscapes. I haven’t printed over 20x24 in years, and remember it being a pain to do in my darkroom. I’m hoping it functions well enough, this time, because I have a feeling I’m gonna like how they look...

I am concerned with the condition of the paper, but I've stored it in my dining room, so there has been no extreme temperature changes/moisture issues. I've had good luck with older MGIV.

Since I have standardized on them, I am actually looking for a 3rd 4550 XLG/ VCCE if anyone is no longer using theirs.
