Yesterday I had my first printing session.
I bought an enlarger online and turned my tiny bathroom into a darkroom.
And I love it! I wonder, how I ever could live with just scanning my negatives.
Of course I have to work on my workflow and I find it hard to figure out the perfect/preferred exposure.
But it's just so cool when you see your image slowly appearing in the developer bath.

I don't have a question or anything, just wanted to share.

It's not that great and the background is way too bright, but it was my first!

Cheers form Switzerland

You can't beat the feeling of seeing the image emerge from the paper.
Congratulations.

Looks like one of the canals in Venice - One of the greatest cities in Europe to wander round with a camera as long as you can keep away from the tourists.

As you gain experience with printing, I'm sure you can pull out detail in the background - A bit of dodging will be needed, and later on you can try split grade printing.

Save it for posterity. As you gain experience it can be fun to see the progress you've made with the prints side by side.

I'd look for some exhibits of photography around the EU. Galleries and museums are a good place to start.
You may find some of our other members locally too.

Congratulations - I was exactly in your shoes a year ago and I never once looked back. I print every week and have printed 100's of photos. The excitement is still the same as on the first day of printing - well maybe 90% of that.

Keep at it!
