Once done shooting, in the dark, you take the film out of the holder and put it into a holder. The holder is then used to dunk the film in the appropriate chems to develop the film and then hang to dry. I use mine just to dry the film after I pull them out of the developing tank.

This may not have helped, mark:D (holder confusion)

The hangers are like frames that you can slide the sheets of film into.

Once the sheets of film are in the hangers, you can handle the sheets by the hangers.

The hangers can be inserted into tanks that have ridges that keep the hangers separated from each other, thus keeping the individual sheets separated from each other. The tanks hold the chemistry, and agitation can be accomplished in a number of different ways (nitrogen burst is nice, but more manual options are available).

The sheets of film can remain in the hangars for washing.

I bet there are youtube videos on this!
