In the late 1930s, color film was pretty rare. But one amateur named Charles Cushman couldn't get enough.

Nice commentary and slide sequence! I think its great that they have compiled a book together of his images, must have been a monumental and time consuming effort. I still have a link of his scanned archive that I was trying to flip through in the past.

If anyone has a bit of time I suggest flipping through a bit of it. Its a bit shocking to see all the things he has captured in color when you are so used to seeing black and white from those eras.

A bit of time indeed. Tons of stuff to look at. I will have to return to that page many times. The guy was a good photographer.
