So after many rolls of film the advance lever on my old Yashica has come loose. As In It’s still attached, but swings back and forth freely. Do you think this is something I can fix myself, or will I have to get it done professionally.

Has anybody had a similar problem, and was able to fix it themselves?

Any guidance appreciated.

hello!
I had this problem and solved it by pushing the lever a little bit further. I think this happens when you try to shoot one last photo but there isn't enough film, so the shutter doesn't cock properly and the lever goes loose.

Not sure about the FX-D but on the FX-3, the screw holding the wind lever is reverse threaded.
