4x5 txp320 in xtol, should I rate the film at 200 or 160? Any advice for xtol dev as well would be helpful. Thanks!

Dear Sean,

Xtol Advice: Download the Xtol data sheet. I use distilled water and rotary processing and the times are just about right for me. I have an older copy of the data sheet that has starting points for dilutions of 1:2 and 1:3. Send me a PM if you want a copy. Follow the mixing instructions on the bag. Take your time and resist the urge to heat the water and stir violently in an effort to speed things up. I store it in full bottles of roughly 250ml and 500ml (this matches my personal use, you may want different sizes). Use it "one shot".

Exposure: For the vast majority of scenes, a little (or even a lot of) extra exposure on negative sheet film is not a problem.
