Hi

I'm really in the mood for watching some photography,
so I might buy a book with photographs, but I know
only a few famous photographers from the past, so this is where
I need your help:

Here is what I'm looking for:

artsy fashion (though not commercial) photography in color (or mixed with
black and white) from 70's, late 60's or 80's.
What I'm looking for is that typical retro look with hard lighting, stiff
models, sort of that manequin doll look.
Something in the esthetics of "Blowup" (the movie)
Something like Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton, only not them

Here are a couple of contemporary shots emulating that hard-light fashion look of the yesterday:

hope you see a pattern: hard and simple light, Kodachrome-like retro esthetics of the image, wierd artsy poses, models like menequin dolls etc.

I have a feeling I might find plenty of all that in 70's and surrounding years, I just don't know where to start

So
Which famous photographers am I looking for?

Try some of the photo annuals or photo magazines from those time to see if they contain what you are looking for. I have a small, but growing, collection of photo annuals and I think that I have seen something like what you are looking for in a few of them. You might have the best results from picking up old issues of The British Journal of Photography from that time period. I know I've seen this type of image in those. Can't give you specific issuess though...

Well the thing Is , unless it's on-line I have no way of reaching such magazines considering I'm living in Croatia in a smaller town.
I have options either to buy stuff on-line or see it over internet

So what I'd need is some specific thoughts, but thanks,
at least now I know that what I'm looking for does exist.
