Picked up a Pentacon Six in trade today for some film but the camera has a shutter issue where the curtains don't fully return to the proper position so I imagine a CLA is in order. I'm looking in the Orange County, or LA, CA area but willing to ship to someone reputable and who won't sit on it for a year or something. Thanks!

There's quite a few "Youtube" videos , if you're feeling adventuresome . It's not too hard and special tools are not very necessary . I've
done a few and although none are within 1/4 stop , they are easily checked for their speeds and used accordingly . I love the 2 that
I have so much I installed custom coverings . Peter

I'm fairly confident I can get it apart (I take apart and repair larger mechanical stuff for a living and have fixed a couple of cameras and lenses over the years) but the youtube video I saw was iffy and it looked like the person was dumping oil in the entire mechanism, which seemed wrong to me. Plus, I'm not sure if the camera needs a repair in addition to clean/adjust. The shutter curtain isn't returning to the fully closed position most of the time.

Here's a video of the issue... the curtain from the right returns most of the way to the left but not fully, and you can see the lens through the gap.

That's typically how it starts ( usually on 125th of second speed) . Mine have all responded to simply spraying contact cleaner in
the shutter guide rails . Any lubing is usually done with a trace of oil on the end of a toothpick . Try it you may be pleasantly surprised .
I'm a retired motorcycle mechanic , so I enjoy playing with these things . Peter
