I am not near my camera at the moment but here are some thoughts:
- some times problems with wind are related to the pins that signal the wind/cocking state between the body and back. I think I have a back with the opposite problem, the wind knob on the back locks up and won't turn until you wiggle one of the little interlock pins. So that may not be your problem.
- I believe the wind knob on top is on a shaft that runs down to the bottom and the engagement with the wind mechanism is down there, so you want to take the bottom cover off, which IIRC is fairly straightforward.
- Here's a video of the internals (not mine):
- I think there is someone on US ebay who sells photocopies of the GS-1 repair manual, which I intend to buy someday, although other than the sticky interlock and one back that is stuck, I haven't had a problem with it.
