I've been looking around and don't see this....

Are there any Ilford documentation that explains which B&W film developer is made to give what characteristic in comparison format? Kodak has/had one of these that basically compared all of them and explained which one is fine grain and which one is high contrast.

I've been using D-76 mostly and occasionally XTOL. I'm considering going highly concentrated liquid. That means HC-110 from Kodak or Ilfotec HC from Ilford. I've seen Kodak's chart. I'd like to learn more about Ilford's.

Ilford's website basically says it's a general purpose developer.

Thanks for this Michael. I have never seen that page before. This helps me to confirm that ID-11 is the correct developer for my needs. It's been my go to developer for years. Just mixed up a new batch last night!

tkamiya, see page 3 in the link below for Ilford's comparison chart. Note obviously these are general characteristics as opposed to detailed specifics, which makes sense since it depends on the film and processing, but at least it gives you an idea (sort of like Kodak's chart).
