My trusty Beseler 45MXT with Dichro 45S head finally started to give me trouble. While the well known and dreaded
light delay issue is manageable on mine, the mixing chamber is another story.
It all started with the white light lever no longer working. Now the Cyan filter no longer moves and the Magenta filter looks
also not correct any more.
I'm looking for information how to align those filters for proper operation.

Thanks,
Michael

I fiddled around a bit with the filters. Look before you spend too much time. There's some nylon parts that break that are not fixable.
The delay thing is an easy fix with the opto-coupler.
This stuff is old.

The problem is that I already messed with it before when I tried to make the white light lever working again. Since then the Cyan filter no longer moves.

I use vactrols on occasion for modular synthersizer modules I'm building so have sources for those. Do you happen to know the voltage and current we're dealing with here?

Cheers,
Michael

If the magenta and yellow work that's all you need. If you go through the threads on this forum you will find the information you seek. I bought a few of the original parts decades back, all I've ever done is replace these with a soldering iron. There's folks that have even opened up the Vactrol and replaced the teeny tiny neon lamp.

I also print color, not only b/w so need all three filters. Otherwise I wouldn't bother.
