I am waiting for the delivery of a 100mm f/4 SMC Pentax bellows macro lens. It will be in good company with some similar bellows macro lenses in my collection. I don't remember whether I have a Pentax K mount bellows. I want an adapter with a female Pentax front and a male T mount rear. This is usually called a T flange or a reverse T adapter. It will allow me to use the lens on my Vivitar, Soligor and Spiratone T mount bellows units. So far I haven't been able to find one of these adapters on the usual websites. If Spiratone were still around, they would have one. Any suggestions?

You just have to search the auction sites on a daily basis. They do show up every once in a while. I remember selling the Vivitar units when they came out in the 70's, a very neat idea for macro work. I'm still looking for an Olympus OM lens flange. Like an idiot, I did not buy 1 each of all the mounts when I had the chance.

I don't remember how many of these different adapters I have but I'm pretty sure K mount isn't one of them. A second choice would be a glassless adapter with a Pentax K front end and a Nikon F rear end. When I got my first 100mm f/4 Yashica ML bellows macro, I got a Y/C to Nikon glassless adapter. I have a Contax bellows now but I like being able to mix and match and use different lenses with my Canon F-1 cameras.

I have not yet found the exact adapter I am looking for but I just opened a Pentax K to Nikon F adapter, which arrived this morning. This will allow me to use the Pentax lens on my Nikon bellows units, on my Canon bellows units with the Canon N adapter (and knock-offs) and others. Late last night I found a Pentax K Auto Bellows for a very reasonable price. To make that kit complete I will look for the slide copier attachment. I am not sure whether the double cable for the K Auto Bellows is different from the one for the old M42 Pentax Auto Bellows.
