Hello, all! new member here!
Got this for free a few days ago it's a Lord IV B , really like it and would like to get it working to shoot with but can't find much info online, I was wondering if anyone has had one of these or torn into one before? Stuck shutter/film advance, little rattling in the top with the top being slightly loose.
I've only ever taken apart one camera that is one of my Pentax K1000's that had a sticky release, On this Okaya I'm unsure where to start, any advice or resources would be appreciated!

First of all, welcome to Photrio!

Leaf shutters often stick because oil drifted onto the blades, making them stick together due to surface tension of the liquid. You can unscrew the front lens-group, and gently rub the leaves with a swab soaked in naphtha or Ronsonol lighter fluid (which is naphtha). That will unstick the shutter long enough to photograph an event.

For the top, look for tiny screws securing the top to the camera.

The Lord is unusual in that its lens is somewhat wide angle, being 40 mm.
Enjoy it!

It's possible to get to the aperture/shutter blades from the back too. Just need a tool to slip into those 2 slots holding the real element in. Once it's out, a cotton swap will get w/ lighter fluid on it will them cleaned off, once they're open you can clean the inside of the front element too.

I'm wondering if the shutter issue is keeping the film advance from working? That little button on the far right side of the top/back may need to be slid over to release the film advance lever as well. Try rotating the toothed spindle w/ your fingers too, it may be one of those cameras that needs film in it to advance the film and fire the shutter?

Oh, Butkus has a manual for it. Throw him $3 if you can spare it, he's a real treasure for making all these old camera manuals available.

yeah, there are two small screws on either side, but can't get the film rewind or the frame count rewind knobs off, Took the lens off and disassembled as much as I could I got the blades moving a bit now, but every few cranks the shutter will open about 2/8ths the way then close but the crank is catching on the way back so it's only spinning halfway then returns so I can never get it to actually fire. also found that the film rewind spindle is stuck down i can't even load film into it, starting to feel this is a lost cause lol
