Thanks for responding Ginette , I still have to get my head wrapped around the process, but I must say your work is very complimentary to the kind of work I do, that said both of our
work could hang in the same room and be very appreciated by the audience.
I have seen Ginettes prints, now the circumstance was very clans dine (a highway burger shop and gas station, somewhere out side Montreal ), I gave her some old paper , she gave me some safelights.
I think we met for 1/2 hour and back to Toronto.
I was immediately impressed by her work and I wish Ginette all the best for the future as I believe her images are very strong.
Ginette I am coming to Montreal in mid to late October to meet with a gallery there, we plan to rent it out for a month next April and invade the photo scene with a bunch of Toronto
photographers, and you will see much of me next year. This is a very important step for my gallery to connect with other Canadian Citys, and we expect to show a complete
show of artists from Quebec here next year as weill.. Lots of work, as the Gallerist and I can just make sense of what each is saying.
I will be in town for two nights two days, I will have a young interpreter with me , he is my good friends soon in his third year at university. ( He will help me navigate my language barrier )
I am hoping your show is still up by then so I can visit with my friends.
I have been told Montreal is one of the great cities in the world, for culture and cuisine, too bad that Montreal is the home to the dreaded Habs. I will tread carefully when
I am in your city and try not to wear my Leafs hat as the season will be opening around the time of my visit.
