Hello all!
I have a darkroom with a rollei 67 enlarger to do color and b/w printing. And I'm finding the basic filter and expose with a philip pca 061 which I bought it in England with a very unreasonable cheap price(10 pounds). It works great indeedly!Though It couldn't do sport metering, I can get the correct print with it and viewing filter kit.
But I'm still looking forward to have a color analyzer which can do spot reading( And could remember different data from different film types so I don't have to turn the knob once I changed the film type).Maybe jobo colorstar or colorline, these kind of color analyser are not easy to find as they are all serched by Chinese for reselling. If you have those kind of color analyzer which you are expecting to sell, please tell me.
( Very pity because I can't use vsgo on my phone makes me can't post those pictures I photographed and print in my darkroom)

The Beseler Color Analyser has a spot probe. And the PM3L has extra modules that can be set up for specific emulsions and filter packs. I just sold mine a few months ago, to the same guy who purchased my Beseler 45V-XL enlarger with Universal head and color controller.

Thanks a lot!I think it's great to give it a shot. And the product from wallner, too. The only shortcoming of them is they are both so heavy.

The black Wallner modular "Tower" has plastic casings and the most heaviest parts are the little incorporated transformer and the mains cable.
See also the models from successor firm FEM Kunze.

Look for a Lici Colorstar. All versions had a spot probe. Those were probably hands down the best color analyzers ever made. I've got two; both still work as new. But...I never use them, ever

Sure, but I'm in Europe and shipping costs are likely going to be prohibitive. If you'd be willing to foot the bill for them, I'm game.

Dear Koraks
OK, no problem.Would you mind to chat via emai(chenzeyuang@hotmail.com)?Thanks a lot.

There are at least 4 different Lici models with the designation Color Star. Better not mix up models.

Dear Agx
Thanks for the promt.Yes, as far as I know tricolor,1,2,3,6000(3,6000.could handle bw),and with their various accessories could really build confusion, but I think each of them is great for me,though:smile:

As far as I can tell, they're all functionally quite similar. Both of mine (probably a 1000 and a 2000) worked fine for RA4 enlargements and B&W work, but I stopped using analyzers at some point and never really missed them. They also don't work well with PWM-controlled LED light sources, which is what I use. It's not an issue with factory-original color enlargers.

I've sent you an email BTW.

A point not yet hinted at is directing the sensor.

When metering far off-center one my argue that the sensor cell is being shadowed and thus must be turned towards the lens. The same time one may argue thart that just keepning the cell horizontal will take care of the cos light-fall-off.

Anyway, the Wallner/FEM Kunze meters and analyzers got sensors that got incorporated a ball-head to direct the sensor cell to the lens, they even got a kind of diopter to achieve good directing. But this design made them bulky too.

The LiCi ColorStar 2000 that is underway to George has a swivel mechanism on its sensor head to deal with this problem. It's a very simple mechanism allowing tilt along a single axis, but it's effective.

The first Color Star got a horizontal sensor, but yes thereafter they got a rectangular holder that enables a rocking movement , which added by twisting the whole device, to direct the sensor to the lens.

Yes, I am very lucky. The analyzer sold to me by koraks has this function. I think my photography career will be inseparable from it. The advantage of fem kunze is that it can measure 12 points to calculate the filter value, which also makes its price increase by the corresponding multiple lol (the second-hand price of this color analyzer was 2-300 euros, but now after being operated by some Chinese The price has been in the thousands, and these people have destroyed the markets in the two places just for their own profit).
