Olympus OMs have the biggest, brightest viewfinders, great all around and especially for ageing eyes. The 2-series focus screens can be easily retrofitted to the OM-1 and OM-2. That also requires a meter modification.

Zuiko glass is top notch. Also the macro range is probably the best going.

The OM-1 is totally mechanical and non-battery dependent (except for the meter), so is pretty much "fixable" forever. The size and feel are very RF-like, so if you like the handling of an RF, you will love the OMs. The OM-1 and my Oly 35 SPs are my go-to 35mm carry cameras.
