hi,

I actually use stand development with rodinal 1+100 for one hours at 21C.
It's great with film 100iso like fp4.
It's seem to be more difficult with 400iso.
For exemple with neopan 400 I have strange white forms on the side of the film.
I think I'll try HP5 and T-max 400.

Do you think it's a good choice ?

Thanks and sorry for my poor english.

TMAX 400 (TMY) works very well with reduced agitation development (stand ,semi-stand, minimal agitation). I prefer developing TMY semi-stand in Pyrocat-HD or Pyrocat-MC, but it also works well with reduced agitation development in diluted Rodinal and/or FX-2

thanks Tom for your message.
Just finish a HP5, no effect on the side of the film but no great tones and contrast like FP4.
So I'll try TMAX.

I am not sure what format you are shooting but trix/semistand/rodinal in medium format is a fine combination.

You might also try FX-2 or Neofin Blau ("Beutler's") instead of Rodinal. That will gain one to one-and-a-half stop of speed over Rodinal, letting you expose FP4+ as 200 to 320.

Half-strength FX-2 is the best developer I've found for stand development. HP5+ works fine in it, as does PanF+, FP4+ and Delta 3200!

I like Tri-x 400 or Hp5 + in Rodinal (old version) 1-100 with presoak, and 1.25 hours development. I always get nice sharpness.
Ole, is Blau for slow films, because i would like to use it with delta 3200.
