So I'm in the market for a normal lens for my Super Graphic. I have the Optar 135mm but the shutter speeds are all about 3 stops too fast. So I'm thinking of just buying a more modern lens to replace it. I don't want an expensive apo lens, I'd like to spend between $200-300. I've seen the Nikkor 150 5.6 and the Fujinon 150 5.6 in this range, but I don't know anything about them.
You could send me your 135 for a CLA at about 1/2 the low end of your new lens budget. There's a good chance a used lens in shutter will need a CLA also. Every post I've read about Nikkor and Fujinon lens was favorable. There may be a Schnider Symmar 150 in your budget range so you may want to consider it also.
I'm happy with my Nikkor 150 but Fujinon, Symmars or Sironars are also good lenses. Make sure you get a later multicoated version. Also make sure it still has the original factory shutter not one that someone swapped out with an older model. Checkout the filter sizes to see if one brand takes filters you already have. The 150 is a very common lens and you should be able to get a great condition lens for $200. Prices on common large format lenses have really fallen lately.
