A few months ago I found a Rolleiflex SL35 (made in Germany) with a Distagon 2.8/35 in an antique shop near my office so I decided to buy it on impulse. It cost me 35 bucks and when I see it it reminds me of its price marked on the front with its now worn white paint. I said on impulse, but actually I must also admit that I am haunted by a dark desire to have a working Planar without costing me a fortune. I figured after I CLAed the camera my next step would be to look for the decent 1.8/ 50mm Planar (which this camera traditionally comes with) but if my math isn't so off between the CLA and the standalone lens the cost will come relative close to a functional new/old camera with a Planar included. Ok wait, I already know that I´m lying to myself here because of G.A.S. so anyways
...
So, what would be my (less than 500 bucks) options to consider?
p.s. An eccentric, but wonderful option, would be the Contarex Bullseye, but the risk of everything going wrong is more than imminent in this case.
