Lookig for LF supply retail stores in Paris and London

Hello all,

found a store with some lovely LF and 120 gear today in Paris around Blvd Beaumarchais. Didn't get to ask about 8x10 or 11x14 film and paper supplies as I'm guessing they had some important customers in at the time and I looked like a general gawker of sorts with no real investment to be made... I'll try again tomorrow and put on my 'serious photographer face and pants' see what happens

But it got me thinking - I'm after film in 8x10 and 11x14 (all varieties considered) and also the french COT320 or Arches Platine used in Pt/Pd printing, are there any other retail stores in either of these cities that might stock it on the shelf ? (like I found for instance at some NYC stores last year)

Any tips appreciated,

Try Silverprint (an APUG sponsor) for film (30% off Ilfird film for 10+ rolls) & paper in London, and Teamwork in Foley Dtreet, London for equipment. Both are excellent shops/suppliers.

yes -- prophot. Unlike most French photo-related stores, they work Monday-Friday and close the weekend. Watch out for their lunch hour, when they close. Some items they don't have on the shelves -- their BW chems, for instance. You have to ask what they have. But you should find their film all on display. I usually take the metro to Abbesses and walk over.

Having just come from Liberia (via home in Aus/NZ) both Paris & London seriously damage my financial well being...

The Provia and Ektachrome were near expiry so I went with just the B+W... No Platine or COT320, but at least the shop guy knew what I was referring to.

Silverprint appears to have Platine in stock, I'll find out on Friday - are they open weekends?

Flew into Heathrow 11am changed flights back to NZ for the same day, rushed into Silverprint and back within 3 hours complete with backpacks and 14Kg of camera gear/hand luggage (heh heh) to score the remaining Arches Platine (damaged sheets for free) and a box of 50 sheets of Foma 100 sheet film in 11x14"

Best shop I've been into yet for large format 'off the shelfness' - and the staff are friendly, go the extra mile and know what you're on about too, its nice when things can go unsaid as the understanding is there within the culture, so to speak
