Very nice. Is there a spacer between the mat and the frame?

No. The mat is in contact with the glass, but it is thick enough to don't let the print be in contact with the glass.
But the same will be not possible with the frames I bought for my 6x18 prints. :/

Those look really great! Did you make those, or, what is your source?

Ikea. :D

I used to look for frames makers to make good a nice looking frames. Specially with museum grad materials. The big issue is that nobody seems to care about where the frame comes from and its quality. If it looks good people are glad to look at it or to buy it.

But also because frame makers in germany takes from 3 weeks up to 2 months to make just a couple of frames and after so long wait , some times some frames or mat comes not very straight, and to fix it they take an other several weeks. Dispite of that they charge very expensive for their services.

Mainwhile I loose oportunities of sale and money.

So looking for pre-made frames where I just can go in the store and have my prints ready to be sold on the next day is the best for me. Now I have 40 prints ready to be sold for Christmans instead of only 7, because frame makers can only deliver their work in January now.

The problem was to find frames that fit nicelly my meddle format negatives. I was looking in photography and print shops but without success. i found some nice frames for my 6x9 contact prints in a decoration store, bit I am still looking for a frame that is not too fancy to fit most houses decoration.

Now, these frames for 6x4.5 contact prints I found in Ikea by chance, while looking for a mirrow to buy.

Marcio, they are really great, I tried looking for these in the Australian online Ikea catalogue, except I cannot find them. Many times we in Australia do not have what is available in Europe, especially German Ikea stores as they seem to be the best stocked Ikea stores I have seen.

Do these frames have a name?

I'm assuming the name will be some almost cryptic Scandinavian name.

By the way, your frame size, to mat size, to image size, all appear to be perfect, including the panoramic ones. You should have some happy customers in the near future.

Look for Tysslinge. This is the name that comes in the paper inside the frame.

Many thanks, a search in the Australian Ikea catalogue drew a blank, which is a pity as I currently have a use for those smaller frames you have shown, they would be perfect.

For my personal taste, the frames are too thick and overwhelm the photographs.

Marcio, do you know of the firm Max Aab? - they supply good quality frames for a very low price:

http://www.aab-bilderrahmen.de/shop/Bilderrahmen/

They ship very quickly and each frame is supplied in a cardboard box (looks like a pizza box) that are great when a customer wants to safely transport their work home. They also offer a good range of window matts (passepartouts).

Bests,

David.

Thanks fort the link. I will have a look.

I prefer thick robust frames. They stand out the prints and often are more elegant.

There is something precious about small prints.

I know, right!?

I was today in a flea market and people really like it. I heard people telling me they are sweet and charming.
But no sale at all unfortunately.

Tomorrow I will be trying again in an other flea market.

Marcio, if you have a Boesner shop nearby, you may have a look there. I get my frames there (in my case in Berlin, but they have shops in several cities). It is an art supply shop. They have a huge selection of frames at reasonable prices, in all sizes you can imagine and they also make frames according to your wishes.
