Hi there! Been reading these forums on and off for technical questions and camera advice, but hadn't ever gotten around to actually posting on here. Figured I might as well post in the intro section. I'm fairly new to photography and actually only started using a film camera on my honeymoon in late 2021. Never shot digital before that either. My wife and I went to Paris and it just seemed like a fun way to remember the city.
I started off with just a basic point and shoot, but have now ventured out and have a small collection of zone-focus compacts, SLR's, and rangefinders. Currently just trying enjoying trying a whole bunch of different cameras as I decide which ones I'm really drawn to and will end up keeping. Looking forward to interacting with and continuing to learn from everyone here!
Thanks for the welcome! Really looking forward to continuing to learn from this community and hoping to pass along some of my limited knowledge and experience as well.
Let me say a word or two. Great to see you join, also remember, that “ your great point, advice, suggestions, insight, . . . . Overall “thoughtfulness “ will sometimes fall on deaf ears. Or/Also your point wasn’t as great as you thought. In other words don’t be so sensitive. Go bold, throw out your ideas, and see what gets traction!!!
Welcome from a fellow San Diegan! Lots of valuable advice along with conflicting opinions here, but also a wealth of knowledge from members who are happy to share.
