Long lasting developer for higher speed films?

I generally use Rodinal in the past, and I am using Rodinal now as I get back into developing my own film. I have in the past mostly stuck with slower films that rodinal does wonderful things with.

However I am planning on using higher speed films (Hp5+, Tri-X, FPan400) where from what I seen, Rodinal does not give the results I want. What are some good developers that are long lasting that work well with the higher speed films like HP5+ and Tri-X?

ILFORD DD-X, Kodak T-Max, Tetenal Ultrafin T-Plus - these developers should perform in a very similar fashion.

Microphen or ID68 if you can tolerate powder or scratch mix respectively - only expect 1/3 of a stop.

Relative to ID11 or Rodinal...

TD-16. It gives all the wonderful tones of D76, lasts 6 mos or more once mixed, and is just perfect for Tri-X.

I use replenished XTOL for the higher speed films. I have used it for over two years at a time.

You could also take a look at Ansco 130. It can be used for paper or for film.

My recommendation is HC-110. Long lasting general purpose developer. I prefer ID-11 however, though once mixed does need to be used in a reasonable amount of months depending upon how it's stored.

]HC-110 and T-MAX is a local option IIRC, and I like to support my local shops when I can. Never know when I will need to get some film in a rush.

What is the difference between Acufine and Diafine? (I was looking into Diafine before I asked.)

I really recommend HC-110. Take your choice of dilutions, great results, lasts for ever.
