Yep I run a lab and lomo 120 always seems to have some leaking on the rebate. Usually never affects the image though. I think they just use a inferior backing paper, it never rolls as nicely

I often found the height of backing paper from lomo 120 films to be a hairline shorter than Kodak or Fuji and end up with lots of light leak.
I think the mixed use of the film spools (between Lomo vs Kodak/Fuji) also aggravates the light leak.
So I use dark bag when loading and unloading Lomo 120 films in my magazines.
But I still find light leaks so I guess it starts from the factory...
I agree the backing paper might be a mm or two less wide than other brands. I've had tiny light leaks on Lomography 400 in 120 but they don't affect the exposure area. I'm careful to load/unload in subdued light and to ensure it's tightly rolled when I give it to my local lab. Inbetween camera and lab I have a black plastic film container for 120 films.
Perhaps the Lomo backing paper doesn't have the required cross-section - thinner at the edges and thicker at the middle.
Backing paper isn't a simple thing!
