M never responsed to my request for data on the new film. I have no idea why! Maybe he's trying to hide something. Or perhaps he doesn't have any actual data. Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about!
Kirk, you probably meant "paper" or "emulsion"
------------
I can understand fear of public scrutiny...
The Public...
Their words can be sharp and piercing
Their understanding diminished and confused at best, yet...
Their lopsided opinions live forever!
(OK let me escort Ambrose Bierce out of the building...
)
Now then, I have no interest in bad mouthing any one's work.
I openly admire the effort of someone involved in bringing a new product into the world.
I wish I could have been involved!
The bottom line however, is that the color sensitivity of a new emulsion still under development doesn't really matter....
it can be changed rather easily.
The key is knowing where you want to go and how to get there.
So, I don't think it would hurt M or LFA if we saw the actual data...
but then again,
from M's perspective,
the people who really need to look at comparative data
are those responsible for producing the new material.
Placed in front of a group of lay people
it is just an open invitation for
public scrutiny....
My interest is only in quietly comparing the 3
in an attempt to evaluate certain claims being made.
